About the Conference

The flood of liquidity in the Asia-Pacific region has receded, and weaker companies are facing cash-flow issues. Inflexible/limited restructuring regimes in the region and a reliance on offshore jurisdictions make it difficult to force formal restructurings. Limited recognition of legal rights of lenders and a division of assets and liabilities across jurisdictions limits the ability of lenders to exert pressure through the threat of enforcement. Informal workouts are becoming more common (and useful) in Asia. What have we learned from the restructuring of Berlian Laju Tanker? What’s in store for the mining and resources and oil and gas sectors? Who is more effective to lead an informal restructuring – an IFA or a CRO?

The 2015 TMA Asia Pacific Conference will provide delegates with the platform to hear and discuss these restructurings that have made an important impact on our industry as well as what the future may hold. Join colleagues from around the world, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the U.S. to discuss recent developments, latest trends, and opportunities in our industry.
